I’m here for the first in-person meeting of Transforum, the coordinating committee combining teaching translation and interpreting with applying it in practice, for which I am representing the Fachakademie in Weiden.

Lots of interesting information and discussions this weekend on the topic of self-employment and different professions within the field of translation and interpreting, but also some time for networking, sightseeing, a very entertaining guided tour through musical Hamburg (including three live performances), and good food.

The 6+ hours by train were well worth it, and I’m looking forward to more of this.
